January 25, 2006: Added a page for my mother Nancy Dee (Powell) Long to the Powell section of the website. Also added pictures of my brother William "Bill" Acree to the Acree section of the website.
January 24, 2006: I have added some pictures I have found of my Grandparents, Charles and Achie Acree, to the Charles W. Acree page in the family section. Also added a the few pictures I have of my uncle Robert "Bubby" Acree and my aunt Margaret "Cricket" Acree to the Acree section of the website.
January 23, 2006: I am finally getting around to adding the pictures from the holiday 2005 season pictures up on the site. The main page is Holidays 2005. Other pages are Thanksgiving Week, Twins December Pics, Christmas Party 2005 (our yearly party for friends and neighbors), Christmas at Grandpa Butch and Grandma Kathy's, Christmas Eve morning with the Twins, Christmas at Grandma Moo and Grandpa Joe's that was held late Christmas Eve morning and added a section devoted to Christmas in Wisconsin. There you will find links for Christmas Day, Owen Christmas Party 2005 and Adults Night Out.

November 15, 2005: Added Gatlinburg 05 to the Powell section under Families. This is the annual trip by the Powell women (and a very good friend) to the Smokey Mountains.

August 21, 2005: Adding several hundred pictures to the Twins section of the website today, including pictures from their second birthday, two weddings and a host of other things from this summer. So far I have added Second Birthday, Grandparents O visit and Father's Day 2005, with more to come.
July 18, 2005: We would like to congratulate Karin's sister Laura Owen on her marriage to Mathiam Mbow on July 16th, 2005 in Madison Wisconsin. You can find pictures from the Bachelorette party, the wedding, the reception and the gift opening held on Sunday in the Owen section of the families portion of the website.
June 12, 2005: Added tons of stuff to the Twins section of the website. Under June 2005 you will find pictures from the Twins trip to Atlanta to see the Nastasi family, pictures of them chasing bubbles, a trip to Grandma Moo's farm and a veritable cornucopia of random pictures.
June 11, 2005: Added William Acree's Wedding to the Acree section of the website. In March, 2005, William "Bill" Acree married Teresa Wickham at our mother's house in Henry County.

October 7, 2004: The Homebound Cookbook is finally online! Karin put this book together featuring recipes on everything from appetizers, main meals, deserts, Super Bowl and picnic recipes to you name it. In addition, the cookbooks is filled with memories and stories, quotes and comments. I am sure you will find something you can cook for dinner tonight.

September 17, 2004: With the discovery of some long forgotten pictures of my father, grandfather and others, I have begun a redesigned Families section. It is and will be under construction for some time. I have added Charles and Achie (my paternal grandparents) to the Acree section of the website.
September 16, 2004: Added JC Penny August 2004 to the Twins section of the website. These photos include pictures taken with the Mother and their Aunt La. These are only the email proof pictures and are not of great quality. Better ones will be added when we get the prints in a couple of weeks.

August 3, 2004: I am redesigning the twins section of the website. It will now be divided into year one and year two. I have added Summer of Firsts to year two, which includes their first day trip to grandma's, their first fathers day, first friends birthday party, the twins own first birthday party, their Wisconsin birthday party and their first Fourth of July party.
June 30, 2004: Happy birthday to Katy and Lauren Acree. They turn one year old this evening at 9:48pm and 10pm respectively. Karin and I could not be happier. April 21, 2004: Added Movies to the twins section of the website. Click on the links to the left side of the page to see each movie. They will load automatically. I would recommend it for broadband users only because of the time it takes for the movies to load. I will be adding several more movies tomorrow.

April 10, 2004. Barbie Bennett performed the duties. Lauren still has a ways to go before her first cut. There are also pictures on that page of the girls dressing up in matching outfits and hats. Well, they had hats. They didn't wear them much.

March 25, 2004: It was a very sad day for the Acree family as Samantha (Sam) had to be put down do to medical reasons. We all miss her and especially Gus. He waits by the door every day waiting for her to come home. A family could never have had a better friend.
March 22, 2004: Added March and Late March the twins section of the website. The girls had their doctors visit last week and Katy is up to 17 pounds 4 ounces and Lauren is at 14 pounds 9 ounces.
February 21, 2004: Added February Pictures and Valentines Day to the twins section of the web site.
February 19, 2004: The girls had their latest doctors appointment. Katy now weighs 16 pounds 8 ounces and is 27.5 inches long. Lauren weighs in at 13 pounds 9 ounces and is 25.25 inches long. Both girls got their latest RSV virus shots and are dong well.
February 19, 2004: Added Purvis Genealogy to the Purvis section of the website. There are two links, one to the Family Tree Maker Purvis site with around 300 descendents listed.
There is also the Purvis Family History page listed there with over 3000 descendents listed. Be patient if your on a dial up connection because this page is very large. In the future, I plan on breaking this up into smaller pages.

January 7, 2004: The girls had their latest doctors appointment. Katy weighed in at 15 pounds 5 ounces and is 25.5 inches long. This puts her in the 30 percentile. Lauren weighed in at 12 pounds 12 ounces and is 23.5 inches long. She is now in the 5 percentile. Both girls continue to do well. They have started real food this week (as real as it gets from their point of view) by the addition of banana and sweet potato baby food!
